Fr. Yeghia Isayan was born in Kirovakan, Armenia in 1972. In 1979 the whole family moved to Echmiadzin, where he entered the public school. After graduation in 1989 to 1991 he attended special theological courses at Haghpatavank, Armenia. In 1992 he was ordained Deacon and served as a Deacon to the St. Astvatsadzin Church in Krasnodar, Russia. He was ordained in Vladikovkaz in 1993 and was served as a Parish Priest for Holy Cross Church in Sochi, Russia till November 20th, 2000. From 1998 to 2000 he studied at Orthodox's Social Institution (Armavir, Russia). In 2000, Der Yeghia with his family moved to the United States. In 2002 with the blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Vatche Hovsepian, Fr. Yeghia became our visiting priest, and one year later, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian appointed him as our permanent Parish Priest. Fr. Yeghia, Yeretskin Anahid and their daughter Meri have made our community complete, and we thank God for sending us this young shepherd and his family.
