Church Construction
Dear Seattle Armenians,
we are on the verge of obtaining a building permit to start the construction of the first sanctuary of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Seattle on our land located at 11505 Redmond-Woodinville Road, Redmond, WA 98052.
Many of us have been asking How our Church will look like? Well... We are closer to answering these questions as never before. You can see the design of our Church in the attached file. It is very exciting and moving to see a picture of our Church!!! The question is what would it take to build it?
As many of you know we have completed the pre-construction stage of the project (including the installation of electricity, water and sewer lines) and the full set of construction documentation and drawings. As soon as City of Redmond issues building permit we are ready to start construction.
The remaining stages of the construction are expected to cost $700,000. After all land improvements and permissions have been paid off we have $140,000 for the completion of the Church Building. This means that we still need to raise $560,000 and YOU can help. We clearly understand that none of us can raise this amount alone, but TOGETHER we CAN.
There are many ways to contribute to Church building construction. According to Armenian Church traditions many parishioners choose to sponsor construction of individual parts of the Church, furniture and other items. Below we provide the list of items you may choose to sponsor.

Notes:
* God Fathers:
For many centuries God Fathers have been playing prominent role in construction of Armenian Churches. While we are happy to have a very vibrant community where most of its members are making contributions to build our Church, we are looking for God Fathers who will make the biggest financial contribution to make building our Church possible. Being a God Father is an honorable opportunity. Taking into account that each Church has only 16 God Fathers and the number of Churches built in your lifetime is very limited, being a God Father is indeed a rare opportunity. After all, when at the end of our lives we are asked “what did you accomplish in your life”, what could be better than saying “I built a Church!”? Names of God Fathers (unless you prefer staying anonymous) will be permanently displayed on the Wall of God Fathers in the Armenian Apostolic Church of Seattle.
We will be happy to have God Fathers who contribute $10,000 or more.
** Junior God Fathers:
His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan selected the Armenian Apostolic Church of Seattle to introduce a new establishment of “Junior God Fathers” to help us build the Church Sanctuary and build strong bond between our children and Armenian Apostolic Church. We have a great opportunity to make our children Junior God Fathers. They will love to see their name on the wall of Junior God Fathers in our new Church. This will make them more likely to stay connected to the Church and Armenian heritage even after they grow older, something every parent would love to see.
We are asking for a contribution of $1,000 for a Junior God Father.
